Book Jacket Redesign
One of my all-time favorite book series is Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. While I’ve always loved the story, I felt the original cover art didn’t fully capture the beauty in the story—so I challenged myself to create a redesigned version that better reflects its tone and themes.

The Challenge
The original Shatter Me series covers relied heavily on drop shadows, layered textures, and a central eye motif that had little connection to the actual story. While visually striking, these elements felt overly busy and dated, creating a disconnect between the design and the narrative’s tone. I wanted to strip away the excess and move toward a cleaner, more minimalistic style, one that was vector and typography focused, with a more inviting color palette. The result is a complete departure from the textured, shadow-heavy originals, offering a modern, cohesive aesthetic that feels fresh and story-driven.
