Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant & Bar
I recently led a full design campaign for Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar in Cocoa Beach, FL—formerly known as Pelican's Bar and Grill. As the sole designer on this rebranding project, I was responsible for developing a new logo, designing the menu, and creating animated promotional materials. The objective was to refresh the restaurant’s identity with a clean, modern look that would resonate with a broader audience. I’m proud to share that the new branding has been well-received and has contributed to an increase in customer engagement.

The Challenge
The objective is to revitalize an outdated restaurant at Cocoa Beach with a contemporary coastal rebranding. This transformation includes a complete renovation of the space, a fresh logo that reflects the beach vibe, and a new menu featuring modern dishes that highlight local seafood and seasonal ingredients, all aimed at delivering an authentic coastal dining experience.
Logo Design
The updated Pier 62 logo reflects a modern, minimalist approach, trading the playful character-driven aesthetic of Pelican’s Bar & Grill for a clean, coastal design. While the original logo leans heavily on vibrant colors, cartoon imagery, and a casual, tropical vibe, Pier 62 embraces simplicity with a wave-inspired emblem and clean typography that speaks to a more upscale waterfront dining experience. This shift marks a rebranding from kitschy fun to refined coastal sophistication.
Menu Design
For the new design, I created a clean white-and-blue color scheme inspired by the fresh, coastal branding of the renovated restaurant. Minimal line illustrations, open spacing, and modern typography give it a lighter, more approachable feel while aligning with the updated Pier 62 identity.
